The Director of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, Estermaria Laruccia, affirms that “creativity, quality and innovation will be the protagonists of an international event which attracts the top-name brands in a sector that plays a leading role in the fashion world. In this year’s edition we will be unveiling not only the top trends in high design for the coming season, but also the key to a future marked by digitalisation, differentiation and globalisation”.
Reem Acra, the star of Barcelona Bridal Night
Reem Acra, the Lebanese-born, New York-based designer who will be the main attraction of Barcelona Bridal Night, is undoubtedly one of the world’s brightest stars in bridal fashion and party wear. In 1997 she launched her Reem Acra New York brand, and in 2001 her ready-to-wear line. Since then, both international politicians and celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé or Halle Berry have worn her creations down the red carpet at the Oscars, Grammys and Golden Globes, among other events. Her designs are sold in the most exclusive stores in the world, such as Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue in the United States, and in more than 20 countries.
With the participation of these big names and the plan to include new surprises in the event and down the runway in the coming weeks, Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, organised by Fira de Barcelona, will once again become a global benchmark for the industry, reaffirming its reputation as the hub of the international market.
The trade fair will exhibit in the same location – Pavilions 1 and 2 of Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc venue, in Plaza España – the proposals of over 350 brands, more than half of which are international, who will show their latest in bridal wear to buyers, the media and guests from around the world. What is more, BBFW has already confirmed the presence of a large number of key buyers from over 50 countries and some of the finest shops in Europe, the United States and Japan, and many more.
